Ucchi Pillayar Temple, Rockfort The Ucchi Pillayar temple is made within the typical Dravidian-style architecture and is devoted to Lord Ganesha. It is a really interesting legend related to it. It is located in the bustling city of Trichy, Tamil Nadu. There is a 7th-century temple built atop a 273-feet high rock that’s believed to be a few billion years old. There's an old fort built atop Capitol Hill too, and therefore the hill derives its name from it – Rockfort. Architecture At the top of the rock, the Rock Fort temple stands 83m tall.
