Built during the 7th century, Shore Temple is one of the oldest South Indian temples. It is constructed within the Dravidian style and depicts the royal taste of the Pallava dynasty. The work of the temple has been listed amongst the planet Heritage Sites by UNESCO. It's located in Mahabalipuram and is one of the foremost photographed monuments in India situated on the shores of Bay of Bengal.The Shore Temple may be a five-storeyed structural Hindu temple instead of rock-cut as are the opposite monuments at the location. It's the earliest important structural temple in Southern India. Its pyramidal structure is about 50 ft square platform and 60 ft tall. There's a little temple ahead which was the first porch. it's made out of finely cut local granite.
Two Shiva shrines with one small Vishnu shrine is inside the shore temple.

Five Rathas
The Five Rathas and Panch Rathas are the same. It may be an exemplary set of rock temples. they're excellent samples of the evolution of Dravidian style architecture.Five Rathas are located at a distance of 1.5 km from Mahabalipuram bus terminal, Pancha Rathas (Five Chariots). It is five monolithic pyramidal structures named after the Pandavas (Arjuna, Bhima, Yudhishtra, Nakula, and Sahadeva) and Draupadi. It's been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a part of the 'Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram'.
Arjuna's Penance
The Arjuna's Penance is one of the most important within the whole world, situated in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. It's also known by the name 'Descent of the Ganges' because the structure depicts either or both of those two significant and symbolic events of Hindu mythology. Mahabalipuram Beach
The Mahabalipuram Beach lies on the shore of Bay of Bengal and located at a distance of 58 km from the Chennai city in Tamil Nadu. The beach comprises of some rock-cut sculptures and which are pleasing to the eyes. It's also famous for caves, massive rathas, chariots, and temples which supply an excellent spot for a holiday. The beach stretches for about 20 km and there are numerous lovely beaches present right along the coastline perfect for a touch relaxation.Another attraction is sunrise and sunset watching cruise. Swimming is not recommended because the sea is rough.
