In this blog, we are going to see about the ISKCON Temple Chennai. This Temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. It's located on the East Coast Road in southern Chennai. Built on 1.5 acres of land, ISKCON, Chennai is that the biggest Radha Krishna temple in Tamil Nadu. It had been officially inaugurated on 26 April 2012. The deities revered within the temple include Radha Krishna and lord's family, including Sri Nitai Gauranga.


ISKCON Temple is found within the Injambakkam region in Thyagaray Nagar of Chennai. It's one of the foremost popular establishments by the ISKCON society in India. It's a harmonic blend of tradition and modernity in an inventive style, also because the better of the latest scientific technology.

History Of ISKCON Temple


ISKCON founder A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who carried the message of Lord Chaitanya to varied parts of the planet, was very keen to determine strong centers in India.


His travel started in 1971, he keeps on continuing his journey of starting centers at different places. At last, he built this Iskcon temple in 2012.


During the prana pratishtha ceremony, the idols of Lord Krishna and Radha and their sakhis—Lalitha and Vishaka. They were installed in one among the three teak-wood altars within the main hall, and Kumbhabhishekam was performed on 26 April 2012. After the Kumbhabishekam and Maha Mangala arati—the first decorated darshan of the deities—flowers were showered from a helicopter over the gopurams inbuilt the Kalinga style with a Sudarshana Chakra on the highest of the tallest tower. The idols within the temple on Burkit Road, T. Nagar unit have also been shifted to the present temple. The temple was still under construction with a 90-ft-long building, at the time of inauguration.
